Marc NEVANT is a European and French Patent Attorney in the “Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biology” department at Beau de Loménie.

As a Chemist, Marc began his career in IP in 1991 as a patent Attorney, going on to work for several years notably within a major pharmaceutical group where he was responsible for managing the patent portfolio of a flagship product in a major pharma company. He joined Beau de Loménie in 2009.

Marc provides support to French and foreign companies in obtaining, optimising the value of, and defending their patents. He also undertakes freedom-to-operate studies, and is involved in the follow-up and support activities for pre-litigation and litigation proceedings. He has solid experience of proceedings before the European Patent Office-EPO (including oral examination, opposition or appeal proceedings).

In addition, Marc is very involved in IP professional associations, holding active membership in: Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (EPI); Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle-AIPPI.

Moreover, he serves on numerous committees established by these associations, whose work has an impact on the practice of the profession of IP Attorney. Additionally, he had a long tenure over many years as an examination board member for the European Qualifying Examination (EQE).
