British Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney

The successful candidate will be a European Patent Attorney and registered UK patent attorney with at least three years post-qualification experience and demonstrable ability to work autonomously, as well as good technical knowledge and experience preferably in the fields of mechanics, physics and material sciences.
Location: to be defined (possibly Paris or one of our branches with home-based or coworking options).
Main Responsibilities
As part of an international team you will, advise clients on their inventions, draft patent applications, and manage the patent application process at the EPO as well as in the other main IP5 offices.
Handle the firm’s UK cases, and provide information and advice to colleagues elsewhere in the firm with regard to UK IP law and practice.
There will also be the possibility to participate in oral proceedings at the EPO, be involved in the firm’s cases before the UPC, and mentor and/or coach trainee European patent attorneys.
Key Knowledge and Skills
You will be a qualified European Patent Attorney and UK-registered patent attorney, with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience. Ideally candidates will have experience in drafting patents in relation to physics, mechanics and in representing clients at the UK IPO and the EPO.

- Have commercial awareness
- Have good IT skills
